Pettis County Eastern Commissioner Israel Baeza delivered his State of the County address Wednesday morning

A little over 24 hours after MoDOT forced the City of Sedalia to close the Washington Street Bridge to due to safety concerns, the Pettis County Commission stepped up and donated $200,000 to help with the cost of repairing the railroad bridge.

The public should be aware of the background surrounding the changes the Pettis County Commissioners have announced regarding allocations to Cities of the half-percent Road and Bridge county-wide sales taxes.

The Pettis County Commission approved their 2024 Fiscal Year Budget.

After the inspection of the bridge was complete, it was determined the project was substantially finalized and the road was ordered opened to traffic effective immediately.

A public meeting concerning the fate of the historic Equity Building, located at 4th and Lamine, will be held Friday at 7 p.m.

A final inspection for Bridge No. 4510021 BRO B080 (039) on Claycomb Road was conducted Friday.
