Ever since Christmas night many have been excited at the prospect of saying goodbye to 2020 and hello to 2021.

When I was a kid, I always, always wanted to stay up late and watch the ball drop with my parents on New Year's Eve.

Where has the past year gone? We're just weeks away from Christmas, and soon we'll be counting down the seconds to an all new year.

This year a friend of mine is coming back from visiting her parents a few days after Christmas, and it's the first time in a while she's been single.

This year's ball will drop alongside Blake Shelton, who will help say goodbye to 2013 and hello to 2014 by performing on 'New Year's Eve With Carson Daly.'

If you're planning on getting gussied up and hitting the town for New Year's, you're in the minority.

The hourly countdown to 2013 has officially begun, which means New Year's Eve preparations are in full swing. We're practicing our photobombing techniques, cranking up the tunes and bejeweling jean shorts, among other things. December 31st is the party of all parties, after all!
