Well, this was one very awkward reunion.

Keith Urban is the last man standing when it comes to 'American Idol.'

Been there, done that. Kelly Clarkson, the original 'American Idol,' won't revisit her former stomping grounds, despite rumors. The pop-country diva will not take a seat at the judge's table for Season 13 in 2014, which is expected to be totally revamped and overhauled with a new set of celebrity panelists.

Country songbird LeAnn Rimes is reportedly back in the running as a possible judge on  the reality competition 'The X Factor.'

Earlier this summer, when 'American Idol' execs were trying to nail down their judges panel, several names of country music stars were thrown into the mix. Before Keith Urban accepted the gig, Toby Keith was approached with an opportunity to take a seat at the table. Now, the in-your-face country star admits that he didn't hesitate at all when he declined the offer.

It's finally official. Keith Urban will join the judge's table when the 12th season of 'American Idol' begins in January. This makes the singer the first full-time country judge (Shania Twain filled in early during the 2010 season) and ends rumors of everyone from Toby Keith to Carrie Underwood joining the panel. Country's own superstar Keith Urban has been officially confirmed as one of the judges for the upcoming 12th season of the hit Fox reality singing competition 'American Idol.'

While it was widely reported that well-coiffed country star Keith Urban had accepted the offer to replace long-running judge Randy Jackson on ‘American Idol,’ new reports have surfaced indicating that the deal is not completed and has not been signed, and is therefore not finalized. But it’s close. Very close.

Keith Urban has accepted an offer from Fox producer’s to judge ‘American Idol‘ next season, less than one day after being named the frontrunner for an open seat on the panel. The Country Vibe reports that Urban has agreed to take the job, making him the second country superstar on a major network reality show.
