It's not breaking news that you can expect summer to be hot in Missouri, but there are forecasts that seem to agree that the state may be about to start one of the warmest in history and it also might be one of the stormiest, too.

The heat is on and it will only get hotter is the most obvious summer thing you can say in Illinois, but what towns will be the hottest? There is data and science that has declared the 20 most scorching hot cities in the Land of Lincoln.

I can already hear the naysayers laughing at the news that Missouri's summer will be hot. Of course it will be hot they'll say and they're not wrong. However, there's a difference between Missouri's normally hot summers and record heat and Farmer's Almanac says records may be broken.

It's that time of year when Missouri as a state starts collectively sweating although some places are worse than others. Where will the most sweating be happening in the Show Me State?
