Graduation

A student who became paralyzed after suffering an injury while playing football his freshman year has showed the world just how far he's come.

Miranda Lambert is known for saying what she thinks and doing what she likes. In giving advice to high school seniors, Lambert says she believes everyone should try college -- if it's right for them.

He may be a college graduate, but this guy doesn't appear to be quite ready to take on the world just yet.

Most of us know at least one person who is graduating next month. With all of the students working hard and studying, its time for you to take a quiz. We want to test your knowledge about local graduations, ceremonies and how it all got started. So before you put on your cap and gown on, here is one last test before graduation.

As the school year comes to a close, we'd like to salute the hard-working students of our area.  Whether you're in high school, college, even middle or elementary school, we want to recognize the accomplishments of these fine young people in our community.

It's graduation weekend at Smith Cotton and other schools in the area this weekend.  It has been 13 years since grads were given the advice of wearing sunscreen in the song "Everybody's Free To Wear Sunscreen."
