The 13th Annual DARE Golf Tournament took place at Elm Hills Golf Course in Sedalia on Tuesday, July 9. Thirteen teams braved the high temperatures to help ensure that kids in school would get the text books and supplies that are related to the DARE program in Sedalia schools. DARE Coordinator Officer Brad Beard said that over $1800 was raised thus far, with more donations expected to come in.

The 2013 Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament was held at the Sedalia Country Club yesterday (June 10). Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors President Doug Benitz said this year was on the biggest on record in terms of teams and sponsors and he thanks all those participated. There were 22 teams of four that played in a scramble format with three flights in total.

The Central Missouri Mules fired a final round 285 on Wednesday to come from behind and win the NCAA-II Midwest/Central Super Regional with a three-round total of five-under par 859 at The Club at Strawberry Creek. Freshman Robby Hughey won the individual crown with a 13-under par 203.
