I am not a fan of stereotypes of anything and love proving the incorrect ones untrue. There's a perception that Missouri Amish families cannot use firearms, but the truth might just surprise you.
There are many reasons why the federal government agencies track firearms. Most, if not all, are attempts to assist law enforcement agencies. However, the raw numbers of exactly how many firearms in Missouri that are traced each year by the feds is truly staggering.
I've seen statistics like this shared, but they are often accompanied by a narrative that some organization or political party is trying to use to make a case. I am not a political person and that's not what I'm doing by sharing numbers that show Missouri sadly has one of the highest gun death rates in America.
