Here's some of the new things you may or may not notice that the Missouri State Fair has worked on over the past year to make the fairgrounds nicer.

The 2016 Missouri State Fair offers a blend of family fun and adult revelry through its mix of exhibits, concerts and vendors.

JEFFERSON CITY – Gov. Jay Nixon joined Missouri State Senator Mike Parson and other state and local officials in Sedalia today (Oct. 1) to announce $2.2 million in infrastructure improvements at the more than 100-year-old Missouri State Fairgrounds. The improvements include upgrades to the storm water management system at the fairgrounds.

Get ready for the granddaddy of all garage sales!  The "World's Largest Garage Sale" is coming to the Missouri State Fairgrounds on May 18.  Whether you're a crafter, home-based business or just a person with tons of stuff they need to sell, all are welcome to gather at the commercial building at the fairgrounds for this massive sale.

You walk in to the Matthewson Exhibition Center and see dirt covering the arena floor.  It is mounded up in places and the old cars are in place.  The kids are all excited because they see what is in each corner of the floor.  "Shock Therapy," "Ground Pounder," "God, Guts and Glory," and "Nail It," are waiting to roar to life at the Monster Truck Racing Supe

Get ready for a big increase in motorcycle riders in town this week.  The BMW Motorcycle Owners of America are holding their 40th International Rally this weekend, July 19 - 22, at the Missouri State Fairgrounds.  The fairgrounds will be hosting an estimated 8500 bikers this weekend, so drive carefully and prepare to see A LOT of bikes around Sedalia throughout the weekend.
