Centennial Park

The Good Old Fashioned Fourth of July had amazing weather and great turnout this year. “This year we've had a more steady stream of visitors with the great weather we've had,” said event coordinator Terry Cockrell. "Last year the temperatures were above 100 degrees, and this year it was a lot more pleasant in the 70s and 80s."

It’s time for Sedalia to make plans for the 4th of July celebrations again this year, there are two events that will make the planning easier.

Right off the bat, our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by the tornado in Moore, Okla. and anyone who sustained any damage from the weather in our Area.  Dukes & Boots will be taking donations for the Moore victims of the deadly F-5 tornado.  Please donate, no donation is to small.  Remember, this is going to be a crazy weather season and it's going to get worse, so be prepared

Thursday night the Sedalia Park's Department unveiled its latest project in the form of a new handicap accessible park, located at Centennial Park.

The newest playground at Centennial Park, located at 16th and New York, is one that will benefit families with handicap children as well as children without handicaps.
