Residents of Sedalia are encouraged to take advantage of an offer from the Sedalia Fire Department, American Red Cross, and their community partners. The Sedalia Fire Department will be installing free smoke alarms for residents that need them from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 30.

The American Red Cross has a blood drive coming up on Wednesday, February 25, at the Inter-State Studioes in Sedalia.

The American Red Cross encourages eligible blood donors to give one last gift this holiday season and discover the true meaning of giving by donating blood.

Every year, it seems like I hear someone or other talking about how materialistic and commercial the holiday season has become. They're not wrong. It definitely seems to be all about money and buying things - and it can be hard to get to what can be so great about this time of year.

The American Red Cross is asking eligible donors to make an appointment to give blood to help ensure sufficient blood supplies are available for patients this holiday season.

The American Red Cross had a blood drive on Thursday, July 17, at the Inter-State Studioes in Sedalia.

The American Red Cross will have a blood drive with Better County KIX 105, 92.3 BOB-FM and Newstalk 1050 KSIS at the Inter-State Studio Auditorium at 3500 Snyder Ave. on Friday, Feb. 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Donors of all types are encouraged to roll up a sleeve and help save lives. The American Red Cross are planning several blood drives coming up in our area. Appointments to give blood can be made by calling 1-800-RED CROSS or visiting redcrossblood.org. Here's a look at some of the ways you can help by donating blood!

KIX 105, 92.3 BOB-FM and Newstalk 1050 KSIS along with the Red Cross hosted a blood drive on Friday, Dec. 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We went over to the Knights of Columbus on Friday to encourage people to give the gift of life.  The strange weather didn't keep Sedalia away from helping their fellow man!
