The Montieau County Sheriff's Office says a search was conducted for a missing 4-year-old Warsaw boy around 9 a.m. on July 30 after the suspect's vehicle was located on Route C, and a passer-by reported seeing a woman and small child walking through an open field and into the woods.

Deputies were assisted by K9 units and a Missouri State Highway Patrol helicopter, but the missing child was not located.

Authorities say the suspect, Julie Darnell, and 4-year-old Grayson Darnell may be in the area of Highway C west of Russellville.

An Endangered Person Advisory was issued for Grayson Darnell early Sunday morning when Julie Darnell, a non-custodial parent, allegedly took him from his custodial grandparents in Warsaw. Authorities say Darnell is bipolar, with drug-induced schizophrenia, and is believed to be using methamphetamine.

The missing boy, 4-year-old Grayson T. Darnell, is described as a white male, 3'1", 60 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes, with a surgical scar on his lip, wearing a light gray and black Star Wars hooded sweatshirt and blue and green plaid shorts.

Anyone that sees the missing child, the suspect, or has information related to the case, is asked to immediately call 911, or contact the Benton County Sheriff's Department at 660-438-9555.
