It's time to check the fridge as there's a recall of a very popular fruit bar due to potential life-threatening allergic reactions which are possible due to an undisclosed ingredient.

The Food and Drug Administration issued a bulletin today about Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream recalling fruit bars due to undisclosed milk. They added this stern warning:

Those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

The bulletin says the following fruit bars were sold at Walmart locations in Missouri. The bars to look for are the Outshine No Sugar Added Strawberry Fruit Bars with these labels:

It's important to note a couple of things about this recall. First of all, no illnesses have been reported with consuming these fruit bars as of this writing. Also, this is a voluntary recall from the manufacturer. Anyone who has a milk allergy that finds these bars in their fridge should dispose of them or return them to the place they purchased them for a full refund.
