Stoplights Coming to 65 & Rebar Road, MoDOT Says
The Missouri Department of Transportation will close lanes on northbound and southbound Route 65 at Rebar Road near Sedalia throughout the next two weeks.
These lane closures will enable MoDOT crews to begin installing temporary stoplights at the intersection of Route 65 and Rebar near Nucor Steel Sedalia. Work will continue over the next several weeks to install temporary signals at US 65 and Rebar Road and US 65 and Routes H and HH. There will be temporary lane closures throughout the process. All work is weather dependent.
As part of the signal installation, MoDOT will reduce the speed limit to 55 miles per hour from Route HH south into Sedalia.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
