St. Paul's Lutheran Church will present the 14th annual Living Last Supper and Living Crucifixion in Sedalia on Tuesday, April 16 and Wednesday, April 17.

Event organizer Ruth Schlomer says the annual event features a tableau, based off Leonardo DaVinci's famous painting of the Last Supper.

Each person in the tableau is frozen in place until they are ready to speak their lines. The actors portray the Disciples and give responses from their own perspective, after Christ says "Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me."

Schlomer said when the church originally held the event, it only consisted of the Living Last Supper. The Living Crucifixion was added into the production a few years later. She invites everyone in the community to attend, recommending arriving early because seats fill up quickly. Schlomer said there are about 30-50 people involved with the production.

The event takes place in St. Paul's Lutheran Church gymnasium, with free admission.

The doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the production beginning at 7:00 both nights.

St. Paul's Lutheran Church is located at the corner of S. Massachusetts Ave and Broadway Blvd.
