Pro football is returning to St. Louis...but not quite the way anyone would have predicted a year ago.

According to KSDK.com, St. Louis will sure enough be home to a professional team when the XFL makes its return in 2020. The yet-to-be-named team will host five of its ten games at the Dome at America's Center (previous home of the St. Louis Rams). Another seven teams in yet unannounced cities will round out the league of eight.

Derived by WWE's Vince McMahon and NBC's Dick Ebersol, the original XFL lasted just one season in 2001 and was considered by many (including McMahon) to be a "colossal failure". According to the new XFL website, the league will be "all about bringing football back to the basics, putting the action front and center, and giving you an experience unlike any other pro sport out there today".
