The St. Louis Cardinals Caravan came to the Davis Center at State Fair Community College this afternoon (January 17).

Cardinals fans from all around the area packed the Davis Center for the opportunity to hear from Trevor Rosenthal, Sam Freeman, Tim Cooney, Charlie Tilson, Andy Benes and Rick Horton.

Rick Horton is a part of the broadcast team for Fox Sports and shared the excitement of pitchers and catchers getting ready to report in a few weeks for Spring Training.

The players answered questions from the crowd from answering questions about the possibility of seeing Max Scherzer come to the Cardinals and telling kids about how they started playing ball.

Andy Benes said that his parents had told him to either play ball or get a job and for over 30 years he chose to play ball.

Sam Freeman told the crowd that he has played lots of Mario Kart in the offseason and it sounds like Cooney and Tilson are still debating on the walk out songs, between Taylor Swift and some pop song.

Rosenthenal had 45 saves last season and liked being the closer. He shared a story how on a previous caravan stop, a woman had gone in and out of labor whenever he was on the mound and that made the players and fans chuckle.

Regardless, one fan in the stands asked the question, "What's the goal for 2015?" Andy Benes quickly said, "To Win the World Series."

Fredbird made an appearance and the kids loved stomping the feet and clapping along with Fredbird.

There were plenty of prizes raffled off by the Cardinals for the benefit of Boys & Girls Club of West Central Missouri.
