Effective Oct. 16, the southwest entrance to Bothwell Hospital will have limited access.

Only people with approved badge access will be able to use the door located on the hospital’s ground floor.

All others should use the main entrance to enter the hospital.

Lisa Irwin, Human Resources and Support Services vice president, said the door has been converted to electronic access for security reasons.

“Members of our Security team are posted at the hospital’s main entrance and the Emergency Department entrance,” she said. “The southwest entrance is used by a small number of people and isn’t staffed by Security. Limiting access through this door will help ensure the safety of our patients and employees."

People will still be able to exit the hospital through the southwest doors.
