SodaStream has issued a recall for one liter, blue tinted, plastic carbonating bottles due to a safety hazard.

According to the U.S. consumer Product Safety Commission, the recalled bottles can burst under pressure, posing an injury hazard. The recalled bottles have the words "SodaStream" and "dishwasher safe" printed on them, and have an expiration date of 4/2020. Only bottles wit the 4/2020 expiration date printed on the warning label are included in the recall.

No injuries or accidents have been reported from these products. They were sold at Bed Bath & Beyond, Target, Walmart, and other stores, and were also available online through Amazon and SodaStream from February 2016 through January 2017. The retail price was around $15.

Anyone with one of the recalled bottles should stop using it and contact SodaStream for a full refund. SodaStream's toll-free number is 866-272-9417. That number is answered from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET Monday through Friday. Customers can also contact SodaStream online for more recall information.
