The Smith Cotton-Tigers have been the recipient of the Silver Tiger Trophy the past six years. Could the Warrensburg Tigers be ready for that to change Friday night, September 1st?

This past Friday night, the Smith Cotton-Tigers traveled to Marshall and up-ended the Marshall Owls 62-28 in a non-conference game to improve their season record to 2-0.

That same evening Warrensburg was on the road in Independence, taking on Van Horn High School. The Tigers defeated the home team, 47-14, picking up their first win of the season.

The Tigers of Smith-Cotton High School are undefeated with two wins under their belt. The Warrensburg Tigers are at the .500 mark with a record of one and one. Come this Friday night at 7:00 p.m., you can throw the records out the window for both teams.

With larger than normal crowds expected for a normal Friday night football game, the Silver Trophy game will be played in Warrensburg at Walton Stadium/Kennedy Field on the University of Central Missouri campus.
