
Sheriff: 17-Year-Old Attempted to Deliver Marijuana to Pettis County Jail
The Pettis County Sheriff's Office says a 17-year-old from Sedalia was arrested for attempting to deliver marijuana and other prohibited items to an inmate at the Pettis County Jail.
According to a news release, around 12:30 a.m. on June 26, Pettis County Deputies arrested 17-year-old Austin Matthew Tinker of Sedalia. Tinker was charged by the Pettis County Prosecutor with delivery or possession of a weapon at a county/private jail/correctional center and with delivery or possession of a controlled substance at a county/private jail/correctional center. Bond was set at $25,000.
The sheriff's office say the investigation into the incident is still active and additional charges and arrests are anticipated.
