SFCC’s Jackson, Wallace Earn All-Conference Honors

State Fair Community College’s Quincenia Jackson and Autumn Wallace have earned All-Conference recognition by the Missouri Community College Athletic Conference for their outstanding seasons on the Lady Roadrunners basketball team.

The pair helped lead the Lady Roadrunners to an eight-win improvement over last season.

Freshman forward Quincenia Jackson was named All-Conference First-Team despite starting/playing in only 19 games due to an injury. The Decatur, Illinois native led the team with a at 62.7 field-goal percentage (fifth in NJCAA Division I Women’s Basketball)..

Jackson led the team in scoring with 16.7 points per game (32nd in NJCAA Division I Women’s Basketball). Jackson pulled down a team-high 8.9 rebounds per contest (47th in NJCAA Division I Women’s Basketball). Jackson also led SFCC in blocked shots with 1.2 per game.

Jackson scored a season-high 34 points in a game against Crowder College and scored in double figures in 16 of 19 games. Jackson recorded a season-high 17 rebounds against Jefferson College. Jackson also earned National Player of the Week honors.

Forward Autumn Wallace started 15 of all 25 games her freshman year. Wallace finished third on the team averaging 7.7 points per game. Wallace scored in double figures nine times and scored a season-high 17 points against Jefferson College..

The Climax Springs native finished second on the team with a 44.4 field-goal percentage. Wallace also finished second on the team with 7.2 rebounds per game, including a season-high 16 rebounds against Rock Valley College. Wallace earned Region 16 Player of the Week honors this season.

“Quincenia and Autumn were crucial to our success this year,” said Lady Roadrunners Head Coach Nicole Collier. “If they weren’t on the floor, you could tell that they weren’t on the floor. We depended on Quincenia in every aspect of the game. I think Quincenia had a great freshman year.

“Autumn has played a lot of different roles for us this season. We moved her all over the place. She was willing to do anything for the team. We’ve had her breaking presses, rebounding the ball, and posting up. We’ve also had her guarding the other team’s best player. She became even more aggressive toward the end of the season. Autumn is a player who is getting better every day and adding to her game. Both student-athletes are deserving of their recognition."

The All-Conference awards are voted on by the coaches in the Missouri Community College Athletic Conference.
