State Fair Community College’s The LearningForce is now enrolling students in its Commercial Driving Academy (CDA) on the Sedalia campus.

The course has been designed by employers and is the region’s leading truck driver training program.

Drivers with a Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) are in high demand and can earn good pay and bonuses. Other benefits may include vacation pay, health insurance, 401K plans, and advancement to other related careers such as recruitment, supervising and dispatching are possible. Drivers can choose to work solo or as a team and can choose local, regional or long-haul routes.

Four-week CDA classes begin monthly and consist of classroom instruction and driving time. Individuals must be at least 18 years old, obtain a CDL permit with air brakes endorsement, and complete a DOT physical and drug screening to apply for the academy. Upon completion, students will be prepared to earn a Class A CDL.
