A fun, casual evening of fine dining, live entertainment, dancing, and a live auction has been planned for the State Fair Community College Foundation’s annual Gala on March 23 at the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center on the Sedalia campus.

The SFCC Foundation will host its annual gala to help raise funds for the capital campaign "Driving Growth, Harvesting Tomorrow."

The campaign will help financially support the building of the new Center for Advanced Agriculture and Transportation Technology on the west side of the Sedalia campus.

The gala is open to the public and begins at 6 p.m. It will feature cocktails and appetizers followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m., a dessert dash, a live auction, and music featuring the Hunter Hathcoat band. SFCC Agriculture Director Brad Driskill will be the master of ceremonies. Garber Auctioneer will conduct the live auction.

“I’m looking forward to hosting the gala this year to announce our capital campaign and help raise funds for the Center for Advanced Agriculture Transportation and Technology,” said Mary Treuner, SFCC Foundation executive director. “This new facility will help us expand training programs and certification that prepare technicians for the agriculture and transportation industries."
