Semi Collapses Bridge Near Whestphalia

A semi trailer collapsed the Pentecostal Bridge across the Maries River on a rural road near Whestphalia.

Osage County Sheriff Michael Bonham told ky3.com that the bridge had a five ton weight limit but the semi driver tried to cross it anyway causing it's collapse. The sheriff says it's unclear why the semi was traveling on the gravel road leading to the bridge. Police are still investigating.
