A 47-year-old woman was arrested on multiple drug charges May 31 after her vehicle was stopped near E. 16th St. and S. New York Ave. in Sedalia.

Police say a white Dodge truck was stopped around 11:34 p.m. The vehicle's registered owner had an expired driver's license and an active felony warrant from Cooper County for second degree drug trafficking. Contact was made with the driver, Cynthia Ann O'Brien-Gibler, who was arrested.

A Sedalia K9 unit was then deployed, and the K9 reportedly alerted to the presence of narcotics. Methamphetamine and drug packaging materials were then located, according to a police report.
