Last Thursday morning, Officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle hit and run crash that occurred in the parking lot of the Open Door Thrift Shop, 612 South Hancock Avenue. A 2015 green Chevrolet Sonic was backed into by a blue in color 2012 Dodge Journey. The Sonic had damage to the left middle side and the Dodge had damage the to the left rear end. The driver of the Dodge left the scene. Myoleen Billimon, 22 of Sedalia, was later arrested for Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and No Operator's License.


 

Sunday night, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of West 7th Street and South Osage Avenue that had failed to signal a turn. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Larry L. Husk, 59, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. There, Husk refused to provide a breath sample. A search warrant was obtained, and Husk was transported to the BRHC for a blood draw. Husk was then transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked in on charges of Driving While Intoxicated.


 

Friday night, Luis Lopez came to the lobby of the Police Department to report a theft from the 1600 block of South Brown Avenue. A report was completed, but there was no further information about what was stolen, when, or the value of the items.


 

Officers responded to the 2000 block of Clarendon Avenue for a report of a hit and run accident Sunday night. One victim reported they'd been walking down the road when they were struck by a car that drove off without stopping. Suspect information was obtained, and the victim was transported by ambulance to the BRHC.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of South Murray Avenue Saturday night in reference to a disturbance. During the course of the investigation, it was determined there was a full order of protection in place. The male was arrested. Felipe Efigenio, 65, of Sedalia, was arrested for Violation of a Full Order of Protection. Efigenio was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold.

On the morning of March 7th, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle they observed crossing the lane dividers on West Broadway Boulevard and South Stewart Avenue. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Thomas Joseph Darrah, 56, Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. There, he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC was above 0.08. Darras was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated (Habitual Offender).


 

Early Saturday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of North Ohio Avenue and West Henry Street. The vehicle was observed making wide turns and failing to maintain its lane of travel. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Cowan D. Sorenson, 24, of Marshall, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. There, he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC was above 0.08. Sorenson was transported to the Petits County Jail to be booked and released on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated.


 

Saturday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of East 14th Street for a report of theft. Officers spoke with Adam Vega, and gathered enough information to generate a report. A report was completed, but there was no further information about what was stolen, when, or the value of the items.


 

Officers initiated a traffic stop on a white Ford F150 for an equipment violation early Monday morning. Officers made contact with the driver, and checked his information with Dispatch. It was advised the driver's Missouri privileges were suspended, and he had a Failure to Appear warrant out of Johnson County for Speeding (11-15 MPH Over). Cody Allen Sanders, 35, of Stover, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on his warrant and a charge of Driving While Suspended. Bond on the warrant was set at $150 cash only.


 

Sunday evening, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of South Limit Avenue. An occupant of the vehicle was found to have warrants for their arrest. Tasha Michelle Dotson, 33, of Independence, was arrested for her two Failure to Appear warrants from Cass County on original charges of Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility. Dotson also had four Failure to Appear warrants from the City of Sugar Creek (Jackson County) on original charges of Expired Plates, Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle, Title Violations, and Operating a Motor Vehicle Knowing the Owner Failed to Maintain Financial Responsibility. Total bond was set at $200 cash only and $1000 cash or surety.


 

Sunday morning, Officers conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and South Marvin Avenue. The driver had an active warrant for their arrest. Bailey T. Logsdon, 20, of Sedalia, was arrested for his Pettis County warrant on charges of felony Trafficking Drugs in the 2nd Degree, felony Distribution in a Protected Location, and felony Delivery of Marijuana to a Person Less than 17 Years Old. Logsdon was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on his warrants, pending a cash or surety bond of $250,000.


 

Sunday morning, Officers conducted a vehicle stop in the area of West 16th Street and South Osage Avenue. Officers made contact with the driver, and checked her information with Dispatch. The driver was confirmed to have a suspended driving status. Heather Nicole Staus, 28, of Smithton, was issued a citation for Driving While Suspended and released at the scene.


 

On the morning of March 6th, Officers responded to the 1000 block of North Limit Avenue to conduct a follow up report on another Officer's case. Soon it was discovered that the photo evidence may not relate to the original case, but did provide evidence that trespassing on the construction site had occurred. Photo evidence revealed an individual walking around the site in the early morning hours. The suspect has not been identified at this time.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the area of West Broadway Boulevard and South Limit Avenue in reference to a vehicle accident Sunday afternoon. Upon arrival, Officers met with Roberta Warren, who advised she was involved in an accident near that location and the other vehicle had fled the scene without providing information.


 

Saturday night, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1500 block of South Moniteau Avenue. An on scene investigation led to the arrest of one male subject. Brian Keith Mumby, 43, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended. Mumby was transported to the SPD, where he was released with a summons.


 

Officers were dispatched to a theft report Friday afternoon in the 600 block of West 32nd Street. Patricia Leix Fish reported $400 was stolen from the home.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of South Lafayette Avenue in reference to a burglary report Friday afternoon. Rhonda Ahern said someone broke a lock box, gained entry into several buildings, and stole copper piping.


 

Friday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of South Sneed Avenue in reference to a motor vehicle theft. The victim's green Kawasaki Ninja was stolen from behind the home between the afternoon of March 9th and the afternoon of March 10th. Red bolt cutters were used to cut the lock, and were left on the scene.


 

Officers took a report in the Police Station lobby Saturday morning in reference to found property. Jessica D. Buesing stated she found a cell phone on her property in the 400 block of South Engineer Avenue. The phone was placed into evidence as found property.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of West 7th Street and South Grand Avenue Saturday morning. The driver was found to have a Pettis County Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Driving While Intoxicated. Rafael Trujillo Garduno, 28, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a cash only bond of $250.00.


 

Saturday morning, Kelci Olson reported finding a phone that did not belong to her or any of her family members of the house in the 1700 block of East 22nd Street. The phone was given to Police to put into evidence.


 

Saturday afternoon, Officers met with Julie Kesterson in the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a forgery. Kesterson received a letter in the mail indicating a loan had been opened using her information, without her knowledge or consent. At the time of the report, a suspect has not been identified.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the Hotel Bothwell, 103 East 4th Street, in reference to found property Friday morning. Bobbi Luebbert stated they found drugs and drug paraphernalia in a guest's room. The items were taken and entered into evidence for destruction.
