Sunday morning, concerned citizens reported a vehicle driving erratically. The vehicle was stopped at Missouri Avenue and Magnolia, where the operator was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated by Drugs. Lori Ann Jones, 58, of Sedalia, was transported to the Police Station, then the hospital for a blood draw. Jones was then released to a sober person. The case was forwarded to the Pettis County Prosecutor's office.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Albright Court Sunday afternoon in regard to a violation of a full order of protection. The victim stated the suspect came up to them, in violation of the order, and starting yelling and cursing at them. The victim also showed Officers several text messages they had received from the suspect. The suspect was later located in the 1300 block of East 7th Street. Matthew Wayne Jones, 40, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail on charges of Violation of a Full Order of Protection. Jones was booked and released, pending charges.


 

Wednesday morning, Everett Monteer came to the Sedalia Police Department and reported that someone known to him had damaged his vehicle while it was parked in the 1900 block of West Broadway. Monteer stated he would like to press charges.


 

Wednesday evening, Officers responded to the 500 block of East 10th Street for a report of a disturbance involving weapons. Threats and an attempt at stabbing an Officer with a sword were made by a juvenile suspect. The suspect was taken into custody and later released to the Juvenile Office for detention. Charges of Assault in the 2nd Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Armed Criminal action are being requested through the courts. No one was injured during the incident.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 1900 block of West 10th Wednesday night in reference to a 911 call. Contact was made with the caller. During the investigation at the scene, a consent search of the residence revealed four glass pipes that were used to smoke methamphetamine. The pipes were collected and will be placed into evidence for destruction. No charges are being sought.


 

Early Thursday morning, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a motor vehicle with a defective license plate light. The driver was found to be driving while revoked. John David Jones, 60, of Sedalia, was arrested, transported and booked into the Pettis County Jail for Driving While Revoked. Jones was placed on a 24 hour hold, pending charges that were later submitted to the Pettis County Prosecutor.
