Wednesday night, Sedalia Police responded to a vehicle crash at the intersection of North Quincy Avenue and West Morgan Street involving a motorcycle. Arriving to the scene, Officers found the motorcycle and the operator located at a nearby residence. The operator was found to have a revoked driving status, and was also intoxicated. While processing the driver at the Police Station and Hospital, the suspect assaulted Officers. No Officers were injured. Cowan Dean Sorenson, 24, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Revoked, and Assault in the 4th Degree.

Sedalia Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 300 block of East 4th Street. Upon arriving, contact was made with both parties. A primary physical aggressor was determined. Jelson N. Booker, 42, of Sedalia, was arrested for Aggravated Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree. Booker was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges.


 

Wednesday evening, Officers responded to the 1000 block of East 5th Street regarding recovered property. The owner of the property was not located. The property will be kept for safe keeping until the owner claims the property.


 

Officers responded to the 400 block of North Prospect in reference to a subject with an active warrant for their arrest. When Officers arrived, contact was made with the subject, who was taken into custody without incident. Kevin S. Morrison, 51, of Sedalia, was arrested for his warrants on charges of Harassment in the 1st Degree and Assault in the 4th Degree. Morrison was booked in at the Pettis County Jail.
