Sedalia Parks & Rec Director Amy Epple issued the following statement concerning COVID-19:

"Today and everyday, my number one concern is the well-being of all Sedalia Parks & Recreation guests, participants, and staff. We are closely monitoring Covid-19 (coronavirus) responses at the local, state, and regional level with guidance from our emergency personnel and health department.

Sedalia Parks & Recreation facilities are open. However, we are limiting our activities to 50 people or less (current CDC recommendation). We will evaluate this on a daily basis. We ask that anyone that is considered high-risk to not come to organized park activities. If you are feeling sick, please stay home.

We all play a role in curbing the spread of this virus. So, please be cautious when visiting public places, don’t shake hands, wash your hands, and use hand sanitizer when you can.

We ask that all participants please limit themselves to one spectator. Anyone wanting a refund can call the Sedalia Parks & Recreation Office at (660) 826-4930 and we will happily take care of your refund.

Again, we will continue to watch the CDC guidelines and update the public on future programs and activities."
