Sedalia Helping Residents Dispose of Flash Flood Debris
Much like the City of Sedalia's Clean Sweep program, the City is assisting residents impacted by flash flooding last week by scheduling picks up of flash flood debris throughout the City on the next two Mondays.
Residents are asked to set out flood-damaged materials at the curb in distinct piles similar to what the City asks of residents during their Clean Sweep program. Residents should create piles of construction and demo waste, furniture, carpet, and then appliances at the curb for pick up by the City by 6:00 AM CDT on the Monday your part of the City is scheduled to have storm debris picked up.
The City will collect debris on Monday, June 13, 2022, from Ohio Avenue to the East City Limits. And Monday, June 20, 2022, from Ohio Avene to the West City Limits.
The City of Sedalia will not be collecting storm debris from alleys where overhead lines inhibit collection by heavy equipment. Those needing more information on flash flood debris pick up can call the Public Works Department at (660) 827-3000 extension 1166.
