Scotty McCreery Is Already Getting Pressure to Make Babies
The "This Is It" singer tells Taste of Country the pressure to reproduce has already begun. In fact, relatives started laying it on an hour after the wedding!
"Everyone has that uncle, that crazy uncle who came out of the car with it," McCreery says, laughing. "I am the last McCreery boy in the whole bloodline, so it didn’t take too long for all of that pressure to start."
Of course, "It’s all good natured and stuff," he insists.
While the rest of the family may be eager to welcome a new little McCreery to the world, the singer says that he and his wife of less than three months are just fine getting used to being married.
"We are in no rush,” McCreery admits. "We will make sure that we can keep the dog going first."
Oh yeah — the newlyweds will be adding a dog to the mix in January.
"That will be another adventure,” the singer says. "It will be fun. [Gabi] would have had a dog yesterday if she could. But both of us want to figure out married life ourselves before we have a dog."
Until then, McCreery will be busy on his Seasons Change Tour alongside special guests Jimmie Allen and Heather Morgan. The run kicks off Nov. 29, stopping in 13 cities before concluding on Jan. 26 in New York.
"It’s nice to come home to [Gabi] now instead of the guys," McCreery says with a laugh. The couple will continue to live in North Carolina for now.
