The Uptown Theatre is bringing in a shining new country talent, along with a country legend, for a special show May 7 at 6 p.m.

Country newcomer Sara Morgan will be in concert that evening along with a benefit auction featuring a name that's familiar to thousands from around the area - Leroy Van Dyke!

The benefit auction will feature the opportunity for sponsorships for rows of seats in the Uptown Theatre. The auctioneer for the evening will be none other than Leroy Van Dyke. The event will take place at the Katie Building Venue, 219 S. Ohio, in Sedalia.

Tickets for the event are on sale at Rick Ball Ford and Sword's Family Pharmacy in Sedalia. Tickets are $20.00 in advance and $25.00 the night of the show. The ticket price includes homemade Fried Chicken dinner with two sides and desert. In addition $1.00 raffle tickets will be sold for several raffle items from area businesses.

Morgan was in the KIX 105 studio recently promoting her new single, “Drive a Tractor” which released April 8. Her new song and campaign with “Drive a Tractor” is doing great plus she gives back 10% of her merchandise sales to help fund farming scholarships.

Whether she plays an intimate solo acoustic set for a crowd of 50, or rocks the stage with her band for hundreds, Sara Morgan has an authentic transparency and vulnerability that has proven to be endearing to her steadily increasing fan base. Sara always takes time to meet and take photos with fans after shows. She loves getting to know people as much as she loves writing and performing. Sara is also a “buy local” girl and is proud to say that all merchandise sold at her shows is “Made in the USA.”
