S-C Tigers Take Second In McDonald’s Classic

The Smith-Cotton Tigers took second place in the 2016 S-C/McDonald's Boys Basketball Classic after S-C fell to Webster Groves, 70-26, in the championship match Saturday afternoon at the S-C gym.

Shown in the featured photo is S-C senior Dante Scroggins being defended by Webster junior Cam Potts.

Rock Bridge took third after defeating the Parkview Tigers, 36-31, earlier in the afternoon.  A total of eight teams competed in the annual tournament.

The 2016 S-C/McDonald's Girls Basketball Tournament is scheduled for Jan. 20-23. The S-C girls play Nixa Jan. 21 at 5 p.m. The girls championship game is set for 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23.
