Two armed robberies occurred shortly after midnight in Warrensburg today (Sept. 17).

One occurred near College Avenue and North Street and the other on North Holden Street near Cooper Boulevard. Both robbery victims sustained injuries.

Three 18-year-old males, and one 19-year-old male individual have been arrested and booked on first degree robbery and assault charges. In an update as of 10:25 AM, four additional robbery suspects are in custody and are in the process of being booked at the Warrensburg Police Department on first degree armed robbery and assault charges. Originally there were four suspects and this brings the total up to eight being held pending the filing of formal charges by the Johnson County Prosecutor's Office.

The investigation into the robberies is being conducted jointly by the Warrensburg Police and University of Central Missouri Police.
