Do-Rite Construction & Excavating LLC, the contractor currently working at the Missouri State Fairgrounds on the new Parson Arena, notified the City of Sedalia they will be placing steel plates on Clarendon Road across from Gate 9 of the fairgrounds for heavy equipment crossing the roadway.

The plates will be there through Thursday, Oct. 31.

Heavy equipment will be crossing the roadway intermittently during this time. The contractor will be placing signage to indicate the plate ahead as well as trucks entering the roadway.

Other work of note in the City of Sedalia include the intersection of South Hancock Ave. and East 9th Street. On Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 7 a.m. and continuing through 5 p.m., the intersection will be closed to through traffic for stormwater improvements.
