Ready for Spring Sports at Smith-Cotton High School?
With the holidays behind us, the winter sports activities are back into full swing. With that being said, before you know it, the switch will be made to all new activities winding up the 2020-21 school year at Smith-Cotton High School.
The spring schedule includes Boys Tennis, Baseball, Boys Golf, Girls Soccer, C Team Baseball, Track, and Jr High Track.
The Boys Tennis season kicks off Friday March 19 with a match against Jefferson City Helias in Jefferson City. The season ends with the Team State Championships May 27-29.
The Tigers Baseball team starts its schedule with a jamboree in Sedalia on March 13. The season ends with the state tournament June 3-5.
The Boys Golf schedule begins a little later in the month as the Tigers are on the road March 24 matched against Rock Bridge, Father Tolton and Battle in Columbia. The season ends with state tournament May 17-18.
The Girls Soccer season kicks off with a jamboree at Chillicothe Friday, March 21. The state tournament winds up the season June 4-5.
The Boys Baseball C Team schedule begins March 22 at Rock Bridge High School in Columbia. The schedule ends against New Franklin High School on May 11.
The S-C Track Schedule begins on Monday, May 22 as the Tigers travel to Warrensburg for the UCM High School Meet. The season culminates with the state track championship meet May 28-29.
The Jr High (7th/8th grade) team will begin competition on the road as they travel to Clinton for the Clinton Open on Monday, April 5.
According to Rob Davis, Smith-Cotton Activities Director, there will be some changes and additions but the schedules seems pretty solid.
