Portion of Hancock Closed for Utility Work

Evergy has notified the City of Sedalia that beginning at midnight on Thursday, August 8 and continuing through 7 a.m. Friday, August 9, South Hancock Avenue will be closed to through traffic between East 6th Street and East Broadway to allow for electrical utility work in the area.

Utility workers and equipment will be present in and along the roadway resulting in the need for road closure. Travelers will need to plan on using an alternate route during this period. This work is weather and equipment-dependent.

If a resident knows in advance, they will need to leave their home during this time; they are encouraged to park along a nearby side street.
