Police Say Pills Discovered During Traffic Stop, Sedalia Man Arrested
A 24-year-old Sedalia man was arrested Sunday following a traffic stop where police reportedly discovered a bag of pills.
Sedalia Police stopped a black Chevy Impala for speeding on W. 16th Street and State Fair Blvd. The driver, Benjamin Everett Brown, had a suspended driver's license. Police say that a search of Brown revealed a plastic bag containing seven pills. Brown told police that the pills were his mother's pain medication, which he was delivering to a friend who had a tooth ache.
Brown was taken to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked for speeding, driving while suspended, and possession with an attempt to deliver a controlled substance and placed on a 24-hour hold.
