Police Respond to Report of Gunshots Near 10th and Summit

Police responded to the area of 10th and Summit on June 26 on a report of gunshots around 8:17 p.m. Several witnesses told an officer they heard a shot that they believed came from a car traveling south on Summit from 10th St. Police then made contact with a witness who said they had been at a residence in the area and became involved in a minor disturbance with a person. The witness believes that the same person came back in a car and fired a shot at them. No injuries were reported and no property damage was found. The suspect was not known to the witnesses and the incident remains under investigation.
