Sedalia Police were dispatched to Bothwell Regional Health Center around 2:20 p.m. on February 2 in reference to an accident with injuries.

According to a report from the Sedalia Police Department, officers found a 2001 Toyota Camry had struck an unoccupied parked vehicle on the south side of the building in the circle drive. The driver then accelerated into the hospital's automatic doors and the Camry came to rest on a brick pillar. Police say the driver told them that his foot had slipped and he hit the gas instead of the brakes.

The driver of the Camry, who was not identified, was taken into the emergency room for treatment. His vehicle suffered heavy front end damage and was towed from the scene. Police say the hospital's automatic doors were heavily damaged.
