Worlds First Museum of BBQ Opens In Missouri Next Spring
Whether it’s Kansas City style, St. Louis, or your patio or deck Missourians love BBQ. Next spring on the second floor of the Crown Center in Kansas City the Worlds first museum of BBQ will fire up the grill..!!!
The museum won’t just focus on the Show-Me types of BBQ but all the different regions of BBQ from across the country and how each of those regions styles of BBQ developed.
If you are a student of the practice, this will be a celebration of traditions and methods.
Each part of the discipline will have its own room at the museum. The fuel (wood, pellets, charcoal), the vehicle (smoker, grill, pit), the meats (pork, beef, chicken), the sauces (tomato base, vinegar base) rubs and techniques.
There will also be trails to follow to give you a recounting of the history of BBQ and its pioneers.
Kansas City is already home to the BBQ Hall of Fame and the World Series of BBQ, so the Museum will complete a trifecta BBQ culture celebration.
Next spring you’ll be able to immerse yourself in the smoke, the sauce and the customs of BBQ and of course there will be shops for accessories and sauces, rubs and more.
