Morgan County Authorities Search Syracuse School for Escaped Inmate

On Tuesday, the Morgan County Sheriff's office received information from Pettis County detectives that Travis Lee Davis, who escaped from the Pettis County Jail Sunday night, was possibly staying in the Syracuse School.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office SRT team was then activated to perform a search of the building.

Upon completion of the search, it was determined that Davis was not in the building. There is no evidence that Davis has ever been at that location, Morgan County said.

Davis, 30, was being held on a $110,000 bond for various charges including kidnapping, endangering the welfare of a minor, domestic assault, resisting arrest and parole violation.
