Missouri Woman Charged In Deadly Shotgun Scuffle Shooting
A Missouri woman has been charged in the shooting death of a man during a reported scuffle over a 12-gauge shotgun.
Sixty-three-year-old Patrica Garvey is jailed on $200,000 bond after she was charged Wednesday with 1st degree involuntary manslaughter and armed criminal action in the death of 37-year-old Jason Swanson.
No attorney is listed for her in online court records. The Benton County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post that Garvey had called 911, saying Swanson had been shot in his upper torso.
She said the shotgun went off during the scuffle. Deputies found Swanson dead upon arriving at Garvey’s home on BB Highway in rural Warsaw.
Due to the nature of the situation, Missouri State Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control was called (DDCC) to process the scene.
