Missouri Senate Tries Again To Defund Planned Parenthood

Today the GOP led Senate passed a stopgap budget that will attempt to remove funding for Planed Parenthood while allocating those funds for Medicaid health care for newly eligible patients and pumping billions of dollars in federal funding to schools.

Abortion opponents in Missouri have for years sought to stop any taxpayer money from going to Planned Parenthood. But legislators struggled with “loopholes” that allowed Planned Parenthood clinics that provide other healthcare to continue receiving funding.

I realize that for many, this is a hot topic.  If you are pro-life, this is probably good news.  If you are pro-choice, you think the opposite.  Whatever your beliefs, try and respect the views of those who do not share your beliefs, and exercise your rights to vote in the midterms for the candidate who shares your beliefs.
