Yes, Missouri’s Most Expensive Restaurant Will Cost You a Fortune
Eating a fine meal that's expensive is a luxury many can't manage. It's not that it's a bad thing. I'd bet that most who have dined at Missouri's most expensive restaurant had a fine time and I'd also bet they'd agree it cost them a small fortune.
There's a new ranking from Love Food of the most expensive restaurants in each state and Missouri's choice is legendary. It also requires a trip to one of the more iconic buildings in the state.
What is the most expensive restaurant in Missouri?
Answer - Pierpont's in Kansas City
The Love Food article mentioned seafood towers that can cost north of $200, but instead of trusting their word, I looked at the Pierpont's menu myself and...well, that description is accurate. The appetizers cost more than the main course in some other Missouri restaurants. By the way, I'm not criticizing. I have no doubt it's exquisite, but wow.
Here are some menu items from Pierpont's and the cost listed on their website:
- Bison ribeye - $65
- Coffee and Ancho Chili Rubbed Kansas City Strip - $74
- Smoked Scallops - $42
- Bone-in Ribeye - $95
- Wedge Salad (large) - $12
Hello waiter? I'd love a wedge salad and a glass of water, okay? Look at Pierpont's menu for yourself and see if you're up to what the most expensive restaurant in Missouri has to offer. If so, a trip to Union Station in Kansas City is on your itinerary.
