The Missouri Finance Board Approved two projects benefiting Missouri Tuesday.

The board approved $4,646,700 to assist the Nucor Corporation in bringing 255 new jobs with a projected $65,000 annual salary per employee to Pettis County.

The facility would manufacture steel and steel products with the proceeds of this grant going to fund the equipment purchases for the new facility.

Downtown Kansas City is putting the final touches on a downtown YMCA and Community Integrated Health Center facility in cooperation with Truman Medical Center. The approved amount of $4 million was to benefit the many low income families in downtown Kansas City making a 4,000 square feet facility that will have 11 full time medical care providers.

“It was a great day for both rural and urban Missouri,” said Lieutenant Governor Mike Parson. “When you assist in bringing 255 new jobs to Pettis County that pay above the average median income of the area, plus help the physical and medical needs of low income children and families, is a good day.”
