Mexico Woman Killed in Callaway County Crash

A Mexico woman was killed Tuesday afternoon in a Callaway County Crash after she slammed into the rear of an 18-wheeler.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 39-year-old Nicki N. Nation was the driver of a westbound 2007 Toyota Scion on US 54 at Route T at 1:39 p.m., when she struck the rear of a westbound 2015 Freightliner driven by 34-year-old Aaron G. Shirley of Fulton.

Nation was pronounced deceased at 2:03 p.m. by Dr. Borsheski from University Hospital. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.

The body was transported to the Boone County Medical Examiner's Office.

Callaway County deputies assisted the 10 Troopers at the scene.
