Man Arrested for Trespassing at Parkview Elementary School
On 2-27-19, the School Resource Officer received a call from the school security officer at Parkview Elementary school. The security officer reported that an unknown male subject, who was later identified as Erik M. Elkins, had entered the school unlawfully. Elkins had been intercepted by the security officer and was removed from the campus. Elkins was located later that day by Pettis County deputies, and was placed under arrest for Trespassing 1st Degree. Elkins has been formally charged by the Pettis County Prosecutor's Office, and bond was set at $2,500.

Additionally, Elkins has a history of trespassing in the Sedalia area, as reported by KSIS.
On Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 10:30 a.m., 40-year-old Erik Mathew Elkins of Sedalia was arrested for trespassing in the 100 block of West 6th. Elkins was issued a Municipal court summons with a February court date.
And on Thursday, Jan. 17 at 12:37 p.m. 40-year-old Erik Mathew Elkins of Sedalia was arrested for 1st degree criminal trespassing in the 400 block of West Pettis. Elkins was taken to the Pettis County Jail.
And it was previously reported on Jan. 11 that Sedalia Police responded to Best Western on a trespassing complaint Jan. 10 around 11:45 p.m.
