Western Missouri Medical Center will hold its 12th annual Ladies Night Out from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 8 at the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center in Warrensburg.

Tickets are $20 and the money raised will support the WMMC's Cancer Care fund.

Doors open at 5 and the presentation will begin at 7.

Ashley Walls is the guest speaker for the event. Walls is a math teacher at Blue Springs High School who was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer in September 2021 at the age of 29. Walls has undergone chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy and many surgeries.

Walls gave birth to a baby boy in December. And she recently celebrated three years since being diagnosed.

Walls serves as the leader for the Kansas City chapter of Young Survivors Coalition and just completed a year of serving as an advocate for Living Beyond Breast Cancer.
