Kelsea Ballerini Shares Sophomore Album’s Release Details
Big news came from Kelsea Ballerini's mouth on national TV on Tuesday morning (July 25): Her sophomore album, Unapologetically, is due out on Nov. 3.
Ballerini shared her next record's release date and title with Good Morning America's Robin Roberts prior to performing her current single, "Legends," on the TV morning show. The disc will be released via Black River Entertainment, Ballerini's label home since her debut album, The First Time.
Not much more is known about Unapologetically; Ballerini has not yet shared its cover or track listing. Earlier this year, she hinted that a song on which her fiance, Morgan Evans, sings background vocals might just be the album’s title track, but the singer did not specify if "Unapologetically" is that track. It is a song that she's been performing live recently, though.
In addition to “Legends” and "Unapologetically," Ballerini has been performing unreleased songs titled “I Hate Love Songs,” “Roses” and “High School” live recently. In 2016, the artist promised that she would include the latter song on her next album.
“I’m so excited about [this album],” says Ballerini. “I thought that I was attached to my first one, and this one is even more so; it’s, like, me in music form. I think it’s going to be a lot more bolder, a lot lighter and a whole lot darker than my first album.”
Ballerini is currently booked for a summer across the U.S. and Europe, as a special guest on Lady Antebellum‘s You Look Good World Tour. A complete tour schedule is available on her website.
